The activities at the institute in Istanbul are led by a director, assisted by a deputy director, and a research officer. SRII has also an office in Stockholm. The SRII accepts interns (one at a time) for both shorter (1–2 months) and longer (3 months – full semester) periods. Interns should be affiliated with a Nordic university and have a both scholarly and personal interest in the topics investigated at the institute. Tasks assigned may include assisting in preparing for academic events at the institute, gathering and communicating information through various media platforms, as well as proofreading, copyediting and, if possible, translating. Knowledge of Swedish is not a requirement, but Swedish, Turkish and native English speakers with good language skills are encouraged to apply. Interns must be fully insured by their home universities for the period of the stay.
